Job Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Primary Function

The Data Analyst shall be responsible for analytic data needs of the Behavioral Health Department. The data analyst will handle complex data projects as they relate to Quality Assurance, grants, utilization management, billing, training, Medicaid and SAMHSA compliance. The BH Data analyst will ensure Analenisgi is always in compliance with the reporting requirements for state and federal regulators and the Joint Commission.

 

Job Description

  • Provide advanced analytical support for behavioral health operations in all or some of the following areas: billing, external reporting, quality assurance, training compliance, Medicaid compliance, Joint Commission compliance, and utilization management.
  • Extract, load, model, and reconcile large amounts of data across multiple system platforms and sources.
  • Review data with proper business units to determine operational impacts and needed actions; elevate issues, trends, areas for improvement and opportunities to management.
  • Develop reports and deliverables and make recommendations to management.
  • Model data using basic software used by the department. Monarch, Excel, Tableau, Survey Monkey, MS Word, etc.
  • Assist management in driving business decisions based on data.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state reporting requirements by performing/coordinating quality audits and analysis.
  • Track and report on department compliance data, quality assurance initiatives, patient outcome data, and any other reports as assigned by leadership. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Education/Experience/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, Business, and Public Health, Informatics or other related field or equivalent experience preferred. .
  • 5+ years of statistical analysis or data analysis experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of direct data work in a healthcare setting preferred.
