Primary Function
The position will perform clinical nurse duties 85% of the time and supervises and coordinates activities of nursing personnel in patient care units 15% of the time. The Analenisgi Outpatient Nurse Supervisor will work in coordination with the nursing and clinical leadership in the Behavioral Health departments for the common goal of efficient and effective patient care. The Nurse Supervisor provides first-line support for nursing staff, physicians and other related providers on specific clinical issues. The Nurse Supervisor is generally a long-term role, requiring proficient clinical, interpersonal, and time management skills. The Nurse Supervisor collaborates with the Behavioral Health Nurse Manager on clinical and non-clinical issues (employee relations, individual behaviors, physician relationships, etc.). The BH Nurse Manager will also work with other Nurse Supervisors under the BH Nurse Manager to coordinate patient care across the entire inpatient and outpatient CIHA system. The Nurse Supervisor is the support for the Behavioral Health Division when the Behavioral Health Nurse Manager is unavailable. The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for supervising, directing, coaching and mentoring their assigned core group of staff.
