Job Responsibilities & Qualifications:

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist with development and administration of employee development programs employee assessments, new hire and career development.

 

JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Endorse the business objectives, ethics and values of Cherokee Indian Hospital in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values
  • Research & develop career development systems understanding and demonstrating sound business strategy in the research and development of career programs
  • Promote the integration of career research and work-based learning opportunities into development programs
  • Coordinate cross-training of development program participants, new hires, and individual employees
  • Provide and coordinate activities for employees to develop employability/promotability skills
  • Keep up to date with developments in training and development by going to meetings and attending relevant courses
  • Amend and revise programs as needed to reflect changes to the business and business strategies
  • Track career development, and skill enhancements for employees within the training database and maintain database integrity
  • Provide timely and appropriate reports and information to HR Manager, HR Director and CEO
  • Work with management to develop expectations and provide feedback on performance of participants
  • Responsible for coordination of new hire development plan, shadowing, experiences, transitioning into departments, follow up for career development opportunities
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • BSBA in a related field from an accredited educational institution with a concentration in education, social work, counseling, training, organization development or human resources required
  • Two years’ experience in organization development teaching, training, or counseling with emphasis on adult education required
  • Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
  • Ability to talk to people at many different levels of organizations and development
  • Creative problem-solving abilities with ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Establish and maintain relationships with employees at all organizational levels
  • Proven ability to effectuate cultural change and achieve performance objectives
  • Strategic planning, analytical and critical thinking skills required
  • Must be able to demonstrate program alignment to business strategy and department goals

                               

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Must be able to work in small, shared office space
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
