Job Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Primary Function:
Provide restorative nursing care to residents and patients, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with facility policies and procedures. Reports resident's needs and concerns to a licensed nurse. Performs a variety of specialized professional level nursing duties which include clinical procedures, specified lab tests, health assessments, and all associated documentation and related activities as licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.

Education /Experience:
Current license as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina required. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required, Bachelor degree in nursing or related field preferred. Minimum one year nursing experience required, medical experience in a nursing home setting preferred.

Job Knowledge:
Must have a thorough knowledge of the policies, procedures and guidelines of the Tsali Care Center, standard nursing practices, applicable OSHA mandates, and related regulatory controls. Requires the ability to perform various primary care, acute care, and preventative nursing services. Must be skilled in the use of all assigned clinical and lab equipment and knowledgeable of sterile and aseptic techniques. Requires the ability to legibly document and maintain clinical records, files, reports, and logs. Must maintain specified certifications and a North Carolina driver's license. Must have good communication skills, both written and oral. Must have an understanding of the EBCI culture, lifestyles and risk factors. Six to nine months would be necessary to become proficient in most phases of the position.
